Originally designed to sit on top of a tube mic’s power supply, the JFMP has a cool form factor that allows it to play many roles.  It could be placed on a table, console or right on the floor. We love using the JFMP with our tube mics for lead vocals, but it also shines on dynamic mics and as a gain booster for ribbons. Expand the amount of mic inputs on a smaller mixing board or recording interface.

The JFMP has a modern-vintage topology consisting of an TL071 opamp, sandwiched between two audio transformers. This creates a unique circuit that musically saturates as the output gets hotter. Expect a rich. exciting tone and gentle, almost tape-like limiting as you push the gain- breaking up just before most A/D converters clip.
